Cornell Public Affairs Society (CPAS)

The Cornell Public Affairs Society (CPAS) is the peer-led governing organization for the MPA Program. The mission of the organization is to provide students opportunities to enhance their professional, interpersonal and leadership skills that will prepare them for successful careers in public service.

CPAS organizes a number of activities each year, including events for career development, community outreach and alumni networking. It also organizes orientation receptions, picnics, holiday celebrations and more.

All students are eligible to vote on officers for the organization. Officers are elected in November to take office in January and serve one year terms.
