Cornell Public Affairs Society (CPAS)

The Cornell Public Affairs Society (CPAS) is the peer-led governing organization for the MPA Program. The mission of the organization is to provide students opportunities to enhance their professional, interpersonal and leadership skills that will prepare them for successful careers in public service.

CPAS organizes a number of activities each year, including events for career development, community outreach and alumni networking. It also organizes orientation receptions, picnics, holiday celebrations and more.

Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GPSA)

The Graduate and Professional Student Assembly (GPSA) is the student governance group that brings together Cornell’s 7,000 graduate and professional programs to address nonacademic issues of common interest.

GPSA works with the university administration to improve the quality of life at the University. It sponsors social events open to all graduate and professional students; works with the administration on pay and benefits for graduate and professional students; supports campus programming through the allocation of funds; and addresses such topics as transportation, library services and international student concerns.
