Meiying Li is a postdoctoral associate with research interests in inequality, gender, race/ethnicity, work, family, and quantitative methods. She studies how structural changes—such as marketization in China, economic polarization in the U.S., the rise of automation and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, and family policies both in the U.S. and across OECD countries—impact individual labor market outcomes and health. Her work has been published in Social Forces, Sociological Quarterly, European Sociological Review, and Journal of Urban Health.
Meiying received a PhD in Sociology from University of Southern California.
