Example Intensive Schedule

Curious about what to expect during a residential intensive?

For current Executive MPA students, the program includes three 1-week residential sessions in Ithaca where students will meet their classmates and professors in person. During the sessions, both cohorts of EMPAs will take their respective classes, enjoy Ithaca, and work on group assignments and capstone projects. Two residential sessions occur in the summer (usually early to mid-August), and the other occurs in December.

For incoming Executive MPAs students, the program includes two 1-week residential sessions in Ithaca. Two residential sessions will occur in the summer (usually early to mid-August), and then will participate in a May graduation ceremony.

Below is a sample schedule from the August 2022 intensive for our newest cohort who began their courses in June 2022. EMPAs in the upper cohort (those who have been in the program for a few semesters) also attended this intensive following the same schedule with a different suite of classes.
