Scalia/Ginsburg Opera

The Cornell Brooks School of Public Policy in partnership with Opera Ithaca will present “Scalia/Ginsburg”, a one-act operatic comedy about the unlikely friendship between U.S. Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg ’54 and Antonin Scalia. The event will take place on Saturday evening, September 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in the Memorial Room of Willard Straight Hall. We are honored to welcome Justice Ginsburg’s granddaughter, Clara Spera, to our campus to offer brief remarks to introduce the opera.

Biennial Cornell Brooks School Program honoring the legacies of Martin Ginsburg ’53 and Ruth Bader Ginsburg ’54

The Cornell Brooks School will honor the enormous, enduring legacy of Martin Ginsburg ’53 and Ruth Bader Ginsburg ’54 biennially. The programs will highlight the policy issues that were close to Justice Ginsburg’s heart. They will also feature the opera, music and other forms of bridge-building artistic expression that were her passion. People of all ages, especially Cornell students, will be enriched by these Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy programs made possible thanks to Christie and Jeff Weiss ‘79.
