Swasti Pachauri is a policy and governance expert with professional experience in management consulting, academia, and the public sector. Her work focuses on women in agriculture, women-led small enterprises, and craft-based livelihoods. She teaches for both the undergraduate and the MPA programme at the Brooks School.

Swasti received her Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Delhi, M.A. in Development Studies from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, and B.A. in Economics from the University of Delhi. She was a fellow in the Prime Minister’s Rural Development Programme with the Government of India where she spent two years in rural Madhya Pradesh in India. Additionally, she also worked extensively with the local government of the capital city of Delhi in India. She is the author of a book on Indian arts and handicrafts. She regularly writes essays for the Indian Express and Down to Earth, and has a forthcoming book on public policy titled “Diving Deep”.
