Matthew Geiszler is a senior lecturer at the Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy, with extensive experience teaching majors and non-majors across the undergraduate and graduate accounting and finance curriculum.

His research focuses on two areas: federal tax issues and the quality of accounting information, including how different users interpret, use, and benefit (or not) from the numbers accountants produce. Before entering academia, Matt worked as a nonprofit accountant, managing federal and state grants, preparing financial reports, supporting audit engagements, and facilitating tax compliance for Sec. 501(c)(3) organizations.

He holds a Ph.D. in accounting from Kent State University.
