Joseph Stankaitis is an experienced physician executive interested in healthcare quality improvement, population health, and healthcare disparities.
He is a long-standing physician surveyor and faculty for the National Committee for Quality Assurance and advises health plans regarding quality improvement, population health initiatives, and accreditation. He helped develop the Health Insurance Disparities Index (HeIDI) that measures the degree of healthcare disparities between commercially insured and Medicaid enrollees using publicly reported health plan quality measures.
He holds an M.D. (University of Connecticut), M.P.H. in Health Policy and Management (Harvard University), B.S. in Biology (Boston College), and Board-Certification in Internal Medicine.
