Brooks MHA student recognized nationally for leadership and mentorship in health care
We are proud to celebrate Keshaav Krishnaa Pothapur, a second-year Master of Health Administration student at the Cornell Brooks School’s Sloan MHA Program, for receiving the Quint Studer Scholarship for Excellence in Healthcare Mentorship from the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). Named after Quint Studer, a revered figure in health care leadership and education, the award recognizes the significance of imparting knowledge and nurturing the next generation of health care professionals.
Originally from India, Pothapur began his career as a dentist before joining the Sloan MHA Program to pursue his passion for health care leadership. Since arriving at Cornell, he has exemplified a deep commitment to mentoring and supporting his peers, reflecting the principles recognized by the Quint Studer Scholarship.

Pothapur’s leadership roles include serving as Vice President of Colloquium for the Sloan Student Association and President of the Sloan Healthcare Student Association, where he leads the program’s case competition. Materials nominating Pothapur for the award noted his initiative in proposing a new ambulatory surgical center management course, highlighting his commitment to expanding educational opportunities for fellow students. As a teaching assistant, he also transformed complex topics into accessible knowledge, empowering peers to succeed.
As Michael Richards, Professor and Director of the Sloan MHA Program, notes, “Keshaav’s natural inclination to mentor and his commitment to peer development embody the values of the Quint Studer Scholarship. His impact on the Sloan community is a testament to the power of mentorship in shaping the next generation of health care leaders.”
