BTPI hosts officers from the US Army War College

The Brooks Tech Policy Institute (BTPI) had the pleasure of hosting officers from the US Army War College, as part of the Eisenhower Series. The series was set up to encourage civil-military discussion during the Vietnam War and today acts as an important forum between active service military and universities. Joining us for a roundtable and open discussion were:
- Colonel Paul Rob Haertsch (Australian Army Officer and Former Defense Advisor to Fiji),
- Lieutenant Colonel Christiana Crawford (U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Operational Planner and Western Europe Foreign Area Officer),
- Lieutenant Colonel Frank Hartnett (Public Affairs Officer, U.S. Air Force and Former Public Affairs Advisor to the Secretary of the Air Force),
- Colonel Leon J. Perkowski, 93′ (Assistant Professor in the Department of National Security and Strategy at the U.S. Army War College and the Director of the Eisenhower Series College Program)
Chaired by BTPI Executive Director Dr James Patton Rogers, the focus of the roundtable discussion was to understand the value of alliances in this new era of geopolitics. The speakers, all from the U.S. Army War College, shared insights about their nonlinear career paths but their shared love for learning. They drew from their experiences, whether it was attaining several degrees or collaborating with defense attachés and the highest levels of defense politics.
