Scholarships & funding opportunities

All funding opportunities take time to process, so we encourage you to apply early in the spring semester. If funding dates do not align with the payment deadlines, please contact us so that we may assist you through the process.

Cornell SCE Scholarship for Cornell undergraduates

The School of Continuing Education (SCE) offers one scholarship, up to $550, to eligible Cornell students to help offset tuition. To apply, please email the SCE Scholarship Application and a copy of your transcript to cusp@cornell.edu. The application deadline is April 11, 2023.

Payment deadline

Full payment is due before you move in. You may not move in without having paid in full.

You may lose your place if you do not meet your payment deadline.

Can I get a refund if I withdraw from my program?

To withdraw from this special program, you must notify the SCE registrar’s office in writing. Your refund amount will be determined by the number of days from the start of the program that you withdraw.

Course fees are nonrefundable. Further, if you withdraw without officially notifying the Cornell SCE registrar’s office in writing, you will not receive a refund. No refund will be given to any student dismissed from a program.

Refund schedule (based on program start date)

  • Days 1–3: Withdrawal period with a 100 percent tuition refund
  • Days 4–5: Withdrawal period with a 50 percent tuition refund
  • Day 6: Withdrawal period with no refund

If you want to appeal the refund schedule based on extenuating circumstances, download the petition form (PDF), complete it, and submit it by email to the SCE review committee at cusce@cornell.edu. Please include “Refund petition” in the subject line of your email. The form will be reviewed by committee, and you will be notified if your appeal is approved.
