Graduate Students Rapid Response Grant
CPC offers fast-turnaround seed grants to support graduate student research. Typical uses include:
- Data acquisition (e.g., access to the Survey Research Institute’s Empire State Poll)
- Participant incentives
- Undergraduate RA support
- Fieldwork travel
Funds may not be used for conference travel or equipment. Awards are up to $500. Applicants are expected to seek additional or matching support from advisors, departments, and/or other centers.
Eligibility
CPC graduate student affiliates are eligible; priority is given to Demography minors.
Timing & Review
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Decisions are generally made within two weeks and are reviewed by the CPC Director and Training Director.
Reporting & Acknowledgment
Awardees must acknowledge CPC support in resulting outputs as follows:
“This work was supported by a training grant from the Cornell Population Center.”
