What To Do in Ithaca
Cornell is set in the heart of New York’s Finger Lakes region on 2,300 “gorges” acres. For natural beauty, few college campuses compare.
First, there are the spectacular gorges. Within 10 square miles you will encounter more than 150 waterfalls, including Taughannock Falls, which is the tallest single drop waterfall (215 feet) east of the Rocky Mountains.
Then, there’s the city, named one of the top 100 places to live. Ithaca is a top 10 recreation city, with its great restaurants (more per capita than New York City), wineries, breweries and cideries, the Cornell Botanic Gardens, museums and galleries, farms and farmer’s markets, and top hiking, biking and running trails.
With all these attractions and activities, we can confidently say that you will never run out of things to do in Ithaca and the region.
