Angela Figueiredo is a Professor of History of Africa and the African Diaspora of the Graduate Program in Interdisciplinary Studies on Women, Gender and Feminism, and Coordinator of the Angela Davis Collective Research Group on Gender, Race and Subalternities at the Universidade Federal do Recôncavo da Bahia, Cachoeira, Bahia, Brazil.

The event was organized by the Latin American and Caribbean Studies Program (LACS). Celebrating it's 60th Anniversary (1961-2021)!
